Blessing of the Fleet
First Saturday in August at the Fishermen's Memorial in Port Orford
With a new flagpole and fence around the memorial, the Port Orford Fishermen's Memorial has been renovated. Every year, a variety of poems and songs flank the reading of the names of those lost at the hands of the sea. Stop by during the event and bring a pot luck dish or pay your respects any time.
